(a little late in posting this since I saw the film and wrote the bulk of this back in April...possibly April...can't really remember anymore!)
Satirical horror film from Jordan Peele
Loved this film. Brilliant, clever script which took horror tropes and made them fresh and exciting. Cast were great, particularly Daniel Kaluuya. At one point it felt like the film was going to turn into something too funny, but it actually struck a good balance between humour and horror. Jordan Peele, best known as part of the double act Key and Peele became the first black writer-director to earn $100 million on their movie debut (which probably says a lot about the exposure given to films made by black writer-directors). I loved this film and I can't wait to see what Jordan Peele does next.
